Geocaching!!
I imagine that you've clicked on this link because you have NO clue as to what geocaching is. :) Well, let me enlighten you.
Geocaching (Pronounced geo"cash"ing) is like a high-tech form of a treasure hunt. People go to to a website called Geocaching.com and then they either put in their zip code or the coordinates to where they live and find caches that people have hidden.
There are a few rules with geocaching
- Take something from the cache
- Leave something in the cache
- Sign the logbook
Those are the simplest of the "rules". Some additional rules of trading are: Trade Up, Trade Even or Don't Trade. Also, don't leave inappropriate items such as: knives, porn, etc. If it's not something a child would be safe around, don't leave it.
Our family, ICQ Cache Crew, has been geocaching for over two years now. It really makes for some great family time and it sure beats sitting in front of the TV!! You also get to see places that normally you might not even know it was there.
Signing up for geocaching is free, but there is also a premium membership that you can sign up for also. If you do sign up, send us a message! We'd love to meet the members that we help bring into the sport! Hope to see you on the trails!!
